The St. Patrick Hospital Wound Care Center has been serving the western Montana region for over ten years and has a healing rate of more than 85%. We employ innovative treatments for wounds including:
- Antimicrobial dressings
- Growth factors and skin substitutes
- VAC therapy for select wounds to remove excess drainage, improve blood circulation, and speed healing time
- Arterial, venous, and diabetic wounds which are causes of poor circulation
- Pressure ulcers, burns, non-healing surgical, and traumatic injury wounds
Our medical staff includes four specialists in the fields of Vascular, Plastic, and Podiatric (foot) surgery. In addition, we have an Emergency Medicine specialist who treats both acute and chronic wounds and three wound care certified nurses.
Our physicians keep your doctor informed of your progress after each visit at the Wound Care Center. A large focus of our care is patient education. We believe that good communication is important in improving patient outcomes.
