Lactation Consultation
We support breastfeeding as a healthy start for newborns. Yet, sometimes moms and babies have challenges when getting started, or when sustaining breast feeding over the first months of life. Our lactation consultant and counselor can both help moms with these challenges. We offer a comfortable setting for moms and babies to discuss issues and learn about helpful tips. We have hospital grade breast pumps for rent, as well as other helpful supplies.
Doria Keesling, CNM, IBCLC leads our service, and can assess problems, offer education and guidance.
Char Houska, RN, Breast Care Coordinator, CLC, can also assist with support and education.
Home visits can be arranged as needed.
