St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center is proud to annouce that our campuses will be tobacco free as of October 1, 2009. This means the use of any tobacco product will be prohibited on on St. Patrick Hospital campuses, in hospital-owned vehicles and in any vehicles parked in SPH-owned garages and parking lots.
Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States and costs Americans billions of health care dollars each year. As a major health care provider we have a responsibility to encourage and promote healthy lifestyles throughout our community and in the lives of our patients. In fact, it’s consistent with the very core of our Mission.
