Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is the hospital's general payment policy?
Answer: All patients are responsible for the cost of services received at the hospital and other affiliates. As a courtesy service, and to assist you in the satisfaction of your responsibility to the hospital, we will bill your insurance company for you.

Question: When will the hospital bill my insurance company?
Answer: In most cases, a bill is sent to all insurance companies on record within 5 to 7 days from the date of outpatient treatment or discharge from an inpatient stay. If you have more than one carrier, it is your responsibility to send a copy of the explanation of benefits from the primary carrier to any supplemental carriers so that they may coordinate benefits.

Question: How will I know if my insurance company has paid?
Answer: Your insurance carriers will send you an explanation of benefits when they pay your bill. The first statement you receive from the hospital after your insurance has paid will also list your insurance payments received. If you have not received notice of insurance payment from the hospital or your insurance company, please contact your insurance carrier to help expedite payment.

Question: What are my payment options?
Answer: You are responsible for the payment of all balances due on your account WITHIN NINETY (90) DAYS of your discharge date or the date of outpatient service, regardless of whether or not your insurance has paid. Other payment options that are available are:

  • CASH, CHECK OR MONEY ORDER
