LinkOut with PubMed
Wouldn't it be nice to link directly from PubMed citations to full-text? PubMed's LinkOut feature makes this possible. Click on the PubMed link from the Library's Webpage, however, if you go directly to PubMed and not via the Library Website, you will not get the LinkOut advantage. Run your search, then select either the Abstract or the Citation Display format. You will notice the distinctive, green St. Patrick Hospital icons at the bottom of the abstract.
The Full-Text icon indicates that this title is part of our E-journal collection. Clicking on this icon will take you to the full-text of the article.
The In Print icon indicates that this title is part of the library's print collection.
For articles the library does not subscribe to, you can still request them through interlibrary loan.
Information Prescription
Ask your Doctor to write you an Information Prescription. Then go to The Center for Health Information, and a librarian will help you find up-to-date, and reliable information about your health concern.
